About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Practitioner (GP) to join Australian GP Group on a contract basis at our Warilla, NSW practice. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality primary healthcare services to a diverse patient population in a supportive and well-established medical practice environment. As a GP, you will be at the forefront of patient care, managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions whilst building meaningful relationships with your patients and contributing to the health outcomes of the Warilla community.

Key responsibilities

1. Conducting comprehensive consultations with patients, taking detailed histories and performing physical examinations

2. Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic medical conditions in accordance with best practice guidelines

3. Prescribing medications and ordering appropriate investigations or referrals to specialist services

4. Providing preventive care, health promotion and lifestyle advice to patients

5. Managing chronic disease and conducting routine health checks and screening assessments

6. Maintaining detailed and accurate patient medical records in compliance with regulatory requirements

7. Communicating effectively with patients, colleagues and other healthcare professionals

8. Contributing to the smooth operation of the practice and adhering to quality standards and protocols

9. Staying current with medical knowledge and best practice through professional development and continuing education

What we're looking for

1. Current registration with the Australian Medical Board or eligibility for general registration as a Medical Practitioner

2. Fellowship or eligibility for fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) or equivalent recognised qualification

3. Demonstrated experience working as a General Practitioner in Australia, with a solid foundation in general practice medicine

4. Strong clinical knowledge and experience in managing a broad range of presentations across all age groups

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and work collaboratively with practice staff

6. Proficiency with medical practice management software and electronic health records systems

7. Knowledge of Medicare and health service regulations relevant to general practice

8. Current professional indemnity insurance

9. A commitment to providing patient-centred, evidence-based care and professional development

Salary: This position offers a competitive remuneration package with expected annual earnings of $345,000 – $355,000+, depending on experience, hours worked and billings generated. A minimum income guarantee may be available for an initial period, together with relocation support for suitable candidates.
